The 1996 Sylviane Merlot is the third release of this fine Bordeaux red varietal from Leducq Vineyards.

Feminine and refined, this generous Merlot displays aromas of succulent cherry and plum leading to flavors of cranberry tart and cedar with a long smooth finish. Extraordinarily ripe and concentrated, its jamy aroma intrigues at first, then intensifies in the glass.

The color, flavors and tannins were extracted using traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques. After 19 months of aging in small French oak barrels, the wine was fined with egg whites and bottled. It was then bottle aged for 22 months prior to release in February 2000.
